Tree Give-Away
Noor is supporting the City of Toronto’s ‘Tree for Me‘ initiative, to increase the tree canopy in the city to 40%. Resource: Why Plant Trees?
This project provides City of Toronto residents the opportunity to receive free of charge up to two trees/shrubs of native species from an offered selection.
Tree pick-up is at Noor Cultural Centre on Sunday October 14, between 2 and 5 pm.
A vegan lunch will be served throughout; we will be showing a series of documentaries that explore the relationship between racism and environmental abuse (in lieu of the the previously-scheduled workshop, which had to be cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances).
Everyone is welcome, whether picking up a tree or not.
