Raising Children with Confidence
with Marzia Hassan
Strong self-esteem is a foundation for success in many areas, including social, educational, athletic and career pursuits. A healthy and positive self image may also help protect children from abusing drugs and alcohol, entering unhealthy relationships, and engaging in delinquent behaviour . Raising children to have positive self-esteem is a challenging, but extremely rewarding process.
This workshop will seek to impart an understanding of what constitutes ‘healthy self esteem’, discuss the difference between confidence and self esteem, and cover practical strategies and the ‘do’s and ‘don’t’s of raising children who are able and self confident.
