Message from the organizers:
Heart to Heart is a program that brings together a group of Israeli youth, half of whom identify as Jewish Israeli and half of whom identify as Palestinian Israeli, for a three-week experience of dialogue and personal encounters at a summer camp here in Canada.
Please join us in welcoming this summer’s Heart to Heart participants to Toronto for the culmination of the 2013 program at our community reception at 7pm on Wednesday, July 31st. Meet this inspiring group of Jewish and Palestinian Israeli youth who have taken on the challenge of rediscovering both themselves and each other. Hear them speak about their experiences living, learning and working together in the Heart to Heart program.
As well, guest speaker Patrick Martin, Jerusalem-based Middle East bureau chief for the Globe and Mail, will be discussing his own experiences in the Middle East and the impact of programs such as Heart to Heart.
A community iftar meal to break the Ramadan fast will be served at sunset.
