Fair Trade and Fashion
With The Azadi Project
The Azadi Project is a fair-trade fashion retailer. This event will be presented by founders Farah Ali and Fizza Mir and will discuss the concept and practice of fair trade and show highlights from the company’s debut fashion show. Garments will be available for purchase.
“Fair trade” is a certification for products that share a greater proportion of earnings with the producers and are more environmentally conscious. It is a movement gaining popularity in the garment industry as a means to combat environmental waste and workers’ exploitation.
