Noor Cultural Centre is Reshaping Itself!

Those regularly tuned in to Noor will be aware that since the onset of Covid 19-occasioned lockdown of Noor Cultural Centre in March 2020, our programming has been exclusively virtual. Most of Noor’s normal pre-lockdown fare – children’s Islamic school, adult Quranic Arabic class, discussion events – has been able to continue even if with some changes.  The principal casualty, unfortunately but unavoidably, has been the religious services which are meant to be in-person and congregational, such as the Jumaa (Friday prayers).

After much reflection and consideration of many relevant factors, the Noor board came to the decision to accept an offer for the 123 Wynford Drive building which has been our physical home for 18 years. There are no present plans for relocation to other premises.

Our intention is to humbly continue the work encapsulated within the Noor Mission and Vision with some modifications, naturally, for the absence of a physical Centre. Insh’Allah.

So, please stay tuned via the Noor listserve (sign up via ), website ( or Facebook
